Dr. Amber Galipp-Leger, D.C.
Dr. Amber Galipp is a native Texan. She was born and raised in the Dallas area. She attended the University of Memphis where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. She had planned to attend medical school until her senior year in college. Her mentor mentioned a career in chiropractic and it all of a sudden made sense. Dr. Amber has always looked to the more natural ways to treat things and was treated by a chiropractor at a young age. She suffered migraine headaches in elementary school that would cause her to have to go home. It wasn’t until she began seeing a chiropractor for sports injuries she sustained that she began getting relief from her headaches. She just thought they were a part of life and was so glad to finally get relief. Like many of her patients, she had no idea that these things were all connected.
Marissa
Marissa is a lifelong Texan who grew up in nearby Frisco and now calls McKinney home, where she lives with her husband and their two dogs, Jack and Dash.
As the Patient Services Advocate & Chiropractic Assistant at Legacy Family Chiropractic in McKinney, Marissa is often the first person families meet when they arrive. She helps guide patients through scheduling, questions, and the day-to-day flow of care, creating a calm and welcoming experience for prenatal, pediatric, and family chiropractic patients.
Her background working closely with kids allows her to feel right at home in a prenatal, neonatal, infant, and pediatric chiropractic environment, where patience, attentiveness, and compassion matter.
Before joining Legacy Family Chiropractic, Marissa worked as a nanny and children’s church teacher, giving her a natural comfort level with infants, children, and families. She was introduced to chiropractic care in high school after a back injury and developed a strong appreciation for patient-centered, holistic wellness. Marissa enjoys building meaningful connections with families and helping them feel informed and supported throughout their care. She is an invaluable part of this practice.

Valerie Cantu, OTR, MOT, DMI (Level C) **
Valerie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development from Texas Woman’s University in 2015 and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Rooms & Facilities
- Massage Room
- Sauna
- Whirlpool
- Tepidarium
Swedish massage typically incorporates a combination of techniques including long, gliding strokes (effleurage), kneading, friction, tapping (tapotement), and vibration. The therapist uses their hands, palms, fingers, and sometimes forearms or elbows to apply these techniques.
Facials are another frequently requested service at club spas. Different types of facials, such as deep cleansing, anti-aging, or hydrating facials, cater to different skin needs and concerns. Members often seek facials to improve their skin’s appearance, promote a healthy complexion, and receive professional skincare advice.
A foot massage concentrates on the feet and lower legs, utilizing techniques such as kneading, stretching, and applying pressure to specific points on the feet. It can be beneficial for relieving foot pain, improving circulation, and promoting relaxation.

The traditional Finnish sauna, also known as a dry sauna, is the most common and well-known type of sauna. It uses high temperatures (typically between 80-100°C or 176-212°F) and low humidity to produce a dry heat. The heat is usually generated by a wood-burning stove, electric heater, or infrared heating panels.
Infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit infrared radiant heat that directly heats the body instead of the air. The temperature in an infrared sauna is lower than in a traditional sauna, typically ranging from 50-65°C (120-150°F). Infrared saunas are often favored for their ability to penetrate deeper into the skin, promoting relaxation, detoxification, and potential health benefits.
Steam saunas, also known as Turkish baths, provide a wet heat experience by using high humidity and steam. Steam saunas typically operate at a lower temperature range of around 40-50°C (104-122°F), but the high humidity creates a sensation of intense heat. Steam saunas are known for their ability to open up the pores, induce sweating, and provide a moisturizing effect on the skin.

Whirlpools are well-known for their relaxation benefits. The warm, bubbling water and massaging jets help soothe tense muscles and promote a sense of calm and tranquility. Many spa-goers use whirlpools as a prelude to other treatments, helping them unwind before a massage or facial.
To enhance your relaxation even further, our invigorating whirlpools beckon. Submerge yourself in the swirling waters as they gently massage your body, releasing tension and promoting deep relaxation. Feel the cares of the day dissolve as the jets of warm water envelop you, soothing your muscles and revitalizing your spirit.

The tepidarium typically has heated benches or loungers where guests can recline and relax comfortably. It is a warm room or relaxation area designed to provide a gentle and mild form of heat therapy.
The temperature in a tepidarium is usually set at a moderate level, typically around 37°C to 39°C (98.6°F to 102.2°F), which is close to normal body temperature. The goal of the tepidarium is to provide a soothing and warming environment, allowing guests to relax and prepare their bodies for more intense forms of heat therapy, such as saunas or steam rooms.
